Excellent resources available on their website. Hosts world class conferences and working group on a wide variety of topics, including ethics and reputation. Ed Petry and Steve Priest are the Program Directors of the Conference Board’s annual Business Ethics and Compliance conference. Health Care Compliance Association This association sponsors conferences and other events for professionals in the field of health care compliance. Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics This organization is designed for practitioners and others interested in promoting compliance and ethics in organizations. For companies involved in defense contracting, a source of benchmarking and networking. Business for Social Responsibility This organization holds conferences ad conducts other activities to promote responsible business. The SBE is an excellent organization largely made up of academics who are dedicated to advancing research and improving teaching in the area of business ethics. DePaul University Institute for Business and Professional Ethics This organization provides many on-line resources, as well as periodic events in the Chicago area. United States Office of Government Ethics (OGE) The Office of Government Ethics exercises leadership in the executive branch to prevent conflicts of interest on the part of Government employees, and to resolve those conflicts of interest that do occur. United States Sentencing Commission The sentencing guidelines provide federal judges clear direction for sentencing defendants in their courts. The guidelines take into account the seriousness of the criminal behavior and the defendant’s criminal record. Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) SHRM is the world's largest association devoted to human resource management. TOA is the largest non-profit, international association of professional organizational ombudspeople in the world, representing over 400 members in the United States and from across the globe. Center for Business Ethics at Bentley College (CBE) The Center for Business Ethics at Bentley College is a nonprofit educational and consulting organization whose vision is a world in which all businesses contribute positively to society through their ethically sound and responsible operations.
